What's the story here? Don't know, don't care- it's just awesome.

This could be out of a children's book of dark stories. I like how the zombie bears are just napping on top of him. I'd like to think they'd eventually eat him though.
The moon is almost making a tangent on that tree. Wish it was moved over to the right side just a little more. I think the only thing throwing this off for me is the fact the bears just look like large teddy bears losing some fluff, and not quite "zombie" enough for my taste. But overall, job well done.

Very cool, looks like a (even more so) demented Far Side cartoon. The kid looks way too happy (in a good way) to be snuggled between a couple of dead bears. If I had a complaint, its that the bears could be a bit more zombie-esque.

Sweet. Zombie bears? I really like this idea.

I agree with the comments my fellow judges have made so far. Nudge the moon over a bit. Zombify the bears a little more. I am not quite sure what the boy is doing... are those tears? Maybe work to make his expression read a little clearer.

Other than that, I totally dig it. Nice layout.I love the expressions on the sleeping bear's faces. I love the design of the boy's legs/feet.

Really nice work!

Ah, this makes me think of Gahan Wilson. That's a good thing!

I also think the bears should appear more "zombie-fied" and threatening. The boy's pose is good, just push his facial expression a bit.

I dig it.

Jomgmee,
I like it. However, will a bone and rotten meat be indispensable for the definition of the zombie? I think that a fixed idea disturbs personality. However, this style will be evaluated.

Nice work! I like the style and the idea. The main thing is that it tells a story! That's what good illustrations do. Keep in mind what the other judges said, and keep up the good work!
