This is my favourite. I like the technique a lot, and the humour. The character seems well designed too.

Attention could be given to the pose, i.e. what's making him fall over? It seems like what the character is doing was kind of an afterthought.

Also, the design seems to be midway between graphic cartooniness and realism, but not pushed enough one way or the other. I love the cartoony hands, but they should flow more with the rest of the body. And it looks like his ripped-off leg is longer than the other one. I get that it may be an optical illusion, but everything a cartoonist does is an optical illusion. If it looks wrong it looks wrong.

Again though, this is the nicest one of the bunch for me. You're heading in a good direction.

I like the background texture on this illustration and the color is cool. The caricaturizations could be pushed more to eliminate the feeling of the design being midway between cartooniness and realism.

Love the texture and color in this illustration. I liked discovering some of the "interior" parts you included here... the "drawsuckadraw" underoos, the intestines, the exposed muscle and tibia and fibula. I love that this guy eyes are looking off in different directions (reminscent of Marty Feldman) Nice touch!
The lower portion of the body, although literally falling a part, doesn't feel right. His right leg feels much shorter than the left and overall, the legs feel really too short for the size of this guys torso and head.

I almost feel like I should know this guy. Great job.

This is a good one.

My style tends to be very "cartoony" so I like what you have done here. The rounded fingers are nice. It's true that the angles on the face are much sharper than on the fingers, but that doesn't bother me too much. Overall it plays well together.

The main issue I have is the lack of "weight" the drawing has. Yes his leg is snapping off, and yes he is falling over... but you don't really feel it. I think if you had both of his legs the same length, and the leg to the viewer's left snapping instead of just bending it would have read better. Maybe some liquid spilling out of the bottle.

Having said all of that, I like this a lot. One of the better drawings in the competition. Great details. Funny. Good stuff.

I felt of all the zombies, this illustration was the most rounded out. Composition is a big element for me when I look at drawings, and this one has me pretty much roped into the central character. The larger dark area to the top right resolves with the texture of the background. The character is a crazy style, but we can still see the referenced person. I love the details like the drawsuckadraw and the technique and texture are great too.
Job well done!

This one is so funny! Can zombies even get drunk? Aren't they already kinda drunk? His akward, stumbling walk really adds to his personality. Also the walleye is lovely. I think he may be crashing the zombie beauty pageant!
I think the background could be toned down just a bit, but that is a personal taste. The speckle effect adds to the dirty dead feel.
Very nice!

We've all seen these bar-zombies hanging around, falling all over the place when we're out havent we? ;o)

Great dynamic posing and dirty background...I like how evn though the character is a strong color, you were able to successfully use a related color right behind him without having him get lost in it. His broken off leg is pretty cool too!

Love the hands and the expression. The see-through parts - where you can see his bones underneath or parts of his clothes are gone...they seem a bit awkward and unconvincing, but since you have a graphic style going on here it isnt as noticable.

One of my faves!

Hey Guys!

Just wanted to say thanks a lot for the crit. It all really makes a lot of sense especially what Steve was saying about the leg, "if it looks wrong, it is wrong." And also the comments about the style being either cartoon or realism. Great things I'll be applying to my work in the future.

I really appreciate this guys!

Much thanks,
Chris
